This Saturday is First Responder Night at the Three Forks School Gymnasium. As the mighty Wolves take on the Townsend Bulldogs we would like to welcome all first responders to the game free of charge, to be recognized for all that they do for our community of Three Forks. Why do we NEED this building bond?
We have 3 schools within our campus that all have different needs. The focus of this project from the beginning has revolved around three components; safety, space, and infrastructure. Each of these components were taken into consideration for each individual school (elem., MS, and HS).
This post will focus on space.
-The current TF campus was not built to accommodate the increasing student population of approximately 740 students (avg. rate of 6% each year). This results in overcrowded classrooms throughout the K-12 District, negatively impacting the educational experience.
-The existing blueprint for the HS is not designed for the current student population, resulting in overcrowded and unsafe hallways during peak traffic times.
-The District campus contains three different schools (elem, MS, HS) that are forced to share spaces, resulting in course offerings being cut and less educational opportunities for K-12 students.
-To temporarily address the lack of space, portable classrooms will be used. The result is an inadequate space/environment for teaching and learning.
To learn more please check out the District website http://threeforksmt.apptegy.us/o/three-forks-schools.
If you have questions you can contact the school office at 285-6830, or by emailing Superintendent Jeff Elliott at jelliott@threeforks.k12.mt.us
